they may be normal by name, but not by nature
I know what you’re going to say, “who has a favourite normal-type pokémon?” After all, it’s often seen as the most common and boring type – and if you think so, Well, you’re wrong on both those fronts.
Normal is the second most common typing, actually, and some of the coolest and cutest Pokémon happen to fall under it.
here are some of the best normal-type pokémon, ranked.

#10 DITTO
normal type
this one had to make the list really, as it can literally turn into every (and any) Pokémon. Not many can say they’re able to do the same.
#9 Kecleon
normal type
Kecleon is another one that made the list because of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon – and I have since lived in constant fear of accidentally stealing an apple from its shop… but only because I wouldn’t want to hurt it.

#8 chansey
normal type
This icon is a mainstay, all thanks to the anime.
Would I let this pink egg look after me if I was ill? absolutely.
#7 TERAPAGOS
normal type
This new legendary IS cute, powerful, and INTRODUCED a brand-new pokémon typing – a real trendsetter.

#6 Farfetch’d
normal/flying type
Farfetch’d has been a favourite of mine since I played Pokémon Blue. Who else can’t function without its signature accessory? It would be far-fetched to think I haven’t tried to make this little duck work in every game it’s in.
#5 chatot
normal/flying type
I have a love-hate relationship with chatot. this parrot probably stole over half my wages in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, but it’s still adorable and I always enjoy a pokémon based on music.

#4 loudred
normal type
Loudred has been a favourite of mine since I first played pokémon ruby on a gameboy – I thought it had a funny face, and I had good memories taking it through the game.
however, I can’t get behind its evolution (too angry for my taste).
#3 smoliv
grass/normal type
Very cute, very demure. love the name. No further notes other than it’s perfect.

#2 bloodmoon ursaluna
ground/normal type
A very recent addition to the roster, but a quick favourite of mine.
Introduced in a horror movie-esque way and also capable of winning every battle? Yes, please.
#1 slaking
normal type
I’ve always enjoyed slaking because I feel a deep connection with it – taking a whole turn to rest after doing one thing is me all over.
